For us to install Sky + we charge £30 installation and the rest is free! This covers the box, dish, installation and 1 years guarantee. With the monthly payments to sky only costing £9.50 extra for the HD channels.

Thankfully because of the decrease in VAT the cost for you to take up the lowest subscription from Sky, otherwise known as a ‘one mix’ subscription, is only £17.50 per month. Now, each additional ‘mix’ you take up will cost just £1 extra per month.

When adding a movie or sports ‘premiere mix’, the additional cost is only £8 - £11 extra per month (£9 for the first movie mix, £11 for the first sports mix and £8 for each of the second movie and sports mix). The channels you receive with the HD Pack depend on your Sky TV package.

With Sky Sports Pack you get Sky Sports HD1, HD2 and HD3. If you have standard definition Sky Sports or Sky Movies channels in your package you will receive the high definition version of that channel if available in the HD Pack. Sky Box Office HD Movies/events cost extra. Channel 4 HD requires a viewing card.

Sky Talk Line Rental...

Sky charge £10 a month for there line rental, which comes with Sky Talk Freetime (free weekend and evening calls to UK landlines). You could also get Sky Talk Unlimited, which is Unlimited UK landline calls any time of day or night (this is £5 extra a month). To set up a phone line, Sky charges a one off fee of £25 for installing your phone line.

Sky Broadband...

To set up broadband with sky, you must have a working telephone line before you can have it. The cost to have broadband depends on which one you would like. The Base up to 2MB is free with Sky Talk (without Sky Talk is £5), Mid up to 8MB is £5 with Sky Talk (without Sky Talk £10), Max up to 16MB is £10 with Sky Talk (without Sky Talk £15). These are all monthly payments and each one comes with a Wireless Router.
