From time to time satellite receivers 'lock'. This is because all the program guides and operating software are downloaded roughly once a month. In certain cases, receivers do not fully receive the software download, or after failing to receive a certain number of downloads, they fail.

Symptoms:

A receiver may display one or more of the following symptoms...

a) Some channels displaying "No Satellite Signal Received"

b) Displaying the message "Searching For Listings"

c) Menu changes are slow.

d) Remote Eye Link not working.


Cure:

This process will force the receiver into downloading the latest software and, in most cases, cure the above symptoms.


Process:

a) Remove Power cable from rear of SKY Digital Receiver and leave unplugged for 30 seconds.

b) Press and hold the "Back Up" button on the front of the receiver

c) While still holding the "Back Up" button replace power cable

d) After roughly 10-30 seconds all the lights on the front of the receiver will light up. This indicates
	that the download procedurehas been initiated. The message on screen should read:

"Download in Progress. Do not disconnect from mains or dish"

The process should last between 5 and 30 minutes, after which the receiver will go into standby (displaying one red light). At this point you can power up the receiver and see if the problem has been cured.

If not then repeat the process above. If it fails a second time to cure the problem, contact us.
